Customer Reviews

5.0 / 5 stars

A much under rated book - Helen a mother of six, from Stockport.

A modern day story of hope! I read this book because of a piece about it in the local paper, as the author was born in Stockport, plus I like biographies especially if they have a happy ending. It was a moving story, of his life. A neglected and unhappy childhood followed by drug taking, leading to crime, imprisonment and then living in squalor, begging, and a living death of drug taking. Followed by a remarkable transformation, his conversion to Christianity, and finding peace and hope though Christ. A very under rated book, which I think would appeal to all who like a good, moving story, with both humour, and pathos, humanity and supernatural hope. If Ian can pull his life back from the depths to which he sunk, then there is hope for us all to transform our lives. After all it’s not over until the fat lady sings, and then hopefully there’s life after that.
