Description
The "Ten Lepers" unit uses the Bible story included in Luke 17:11-19. Luke 17 begins with Jesus teaching his disciples about behavior, forgiveness, the power of faith, and a disciple's responsibility.While Jesus was traveling toward Jerusalem, ten lepers stood at a distance and cried out to Jesus for mercy and healing. Jesus, following the dictate of Jewish law, told the men to present themselves to the Temple priests who could confirm their healing. The ten men did as they were told. While on their way, their leprosy was cured.
Only one man, the Samaritan, returned to Jesus. With enormous gratitude, the man shouted his thanks and bowed down before Jesus. In response, Jesus told him, "Your faith has made you whole."
