Taming the Tiger
Taming the Tiger by Tony Anthony;Angela Little was published by Authentic Lifestyle in August 2004 and is our 9511th best seller. The ISBN for Taming the Tiger is 9781860244810.
This fast-paced, compelling and at times chilling account is the deeply moving story of a three-times Kung Fu World Champion. With fascinating insight into the traditions of China’s martial arts, it documents the abusive upbringing that turned a four-year-old child into a hardened killer.
From China to Europe and across the Mediterranean, we follow Tony as he becomes an elite bodyguard, protecting some of the world’s most powerful people.
Following personal tragedy, Tony’s extreme discipline and the philosophy of his art is quickly turned. He begins to use his skills for illegal means and highly destructive, bloodthirsty pleasure.
Eventually incarcerated in jail in Cyprus, Tony hits rock bottom. But through the visits of a stranger, his life is dramatically changed. Though the prison walls hold him, he finds himself a free man. This is just the beginning of a complex and fascinating testimony.

not finished it but... - joy, a 17 yr old from Keighley, west yorkshire
This book is brilliant. I was lucky enough to meet the author at a recent christian festival in scarborough, and was touched by his story. I find it amazing how he could go through so much, then become a dedicated christian at the end of it all. It is a deeply moving true life story, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Reading this book will change your life! - Linda, a Civil Servant from Southend on Sea
This is a remarkable true story of a man who has packed so much into his young life. I have met Tony and you could not meet a more humble guy who is so passionate for God. Good as an evangelistic tool or to help you expect greater things from God. Also good for Christians who feel they have mucked up and are worthless. Due to be made into a film! Can't wait for that!
incredible! - Chola
This is by far the best book I have read in a long while..I am getting anyone I know to read it!!..its amazing..
Shocking, powerful and ultimately, full of hope. - Marion, an evangelist from Essex
So much of this book was shocking and disturbing, yet I could hardly put it down. The violence, abuse and total dispair make this man's life seem beyond redemption; yet he is brought through it all into a life full of love, hope and promise.
