Many of the songs contained on this recording are from Taize a small town nestling among the hills of Burgundy where there is a small ecumenical community of brothers whose prayer is at the heart of their life. The remaining songs are by Margaret Rizza, a composer who has dedicated herself to the writing of sacred music for contemplation and prayer. The chants and songs are sympathetic to the Taize style of worship and are not only soothing to the soul but uplifting to the Spirit.
