About This CD

As a songwriter, author and performer Stacie Orrico has accomplished much in the last two years. Following her hugely successful debut, Genuine, and riding on the waves of a new partnership with Virgin Records, Stacie Orrico has returned to the studio to record her second solo album, the self titled Stacie Orrico. Weaving urban beats and pop hooks Stacie has fashioned a musical message that is accessible to those inside and outside of the church.

Stacie's voice has matured in both quality and confidence, and there's a harder, more mainstream sound to her music. Opening track, the stunning Stuck must give Jennifer Lopez a run for her money. Stacie mixes urban, hip-hop and rock sounds on tracks like More To Life, Instead and Hesitation. Tracks such as Bounce Back, Tight and the funky Security reveal more of an r'n'b, soul influence while I Promise with it's vocal harmonies, and I Could Be The One are pure pop. The beautiful, searching, piano ballad Strong Enough displays another facet to the enormous talent that is Stacie.

With songs and production by amongst others, Diane Warren (Celine Dion), Stacie Orrico by Stacie Orrico is a huge slice of quality and creativity rolled into one; an album that is relevant to today's youth and young adults, encouraging the church and reaching out to a lost world.
