Good guide shame about the text. - Darren a Bible beliving Christian from Wakefield

In this Study Bible you get some very good commentaries to tell you all about the scriptures and what they mean,but for me the text lets this project down.For me the NLT translation is one of the weakest there is,perhaps NLT should stand for New Lightweight Translation. Apart from the King James and ESV translations of God's word most others fail to render a very accurate meaning of YAHWEH's wonderful word to mankind. I would give this a six out of ten rating.

A wonderful Bible! - Greg - a long-term Christian with an open mind.

Unlike Darren, I find the NLT to be one of the most beautiful translations around. I see that he says he gives it '6 out of 10' but then actually gives it an 8 out of 10 star rating! I give it 10 out of 10 all round. The translation is accurate, the literary style is so flowing and poetic, and reading the text is such a wonderfully refreshing experience! I recommend this translation whenever I can - it's wonderful!
