Amazingly inciteful - Greg Headteacher
This book is a challenge to believing Christians everywhere. Often preachers avoid dealing with difficult scriptural passages. Wendy Alec deals with difficult personal and scriptural issues in an engaging and challenging way. This book is a 'nouminous' exposition from times of prayer and communion with God. It will challenge, infuriate and provide healing for many. A must read for those seeking to understand God's plans for their lives, understand scripture and explore their walk with God (through the dark night of the soul) in a 21st century were many things are uncertain.
Hear His voice - Diane, Scarborough
The book is comprised of prophetic experiences received by the author, written in a very personal style as God spoke to her in an intimate way. The subjects covered include encouragements for individuals and groups, and warnings about future judgement. Throughout the book one theme is clear, that of God's love for the world and His people. There are also plenty of scripture references to enable the reader to test the biblical foundation for the writings. This book is so encouraging because it seems like the Father is speaking directly to you from the pages. It also reveals the Father's heart as if a friend was sitting beside you sharing their deepest feelings. It will make you want to curl up in His lap and listen to His voice. It's not a book to simply read through, but rather to slowly meditate on what God is revealing to you through each short message. It is of great use as a starting point in your quiet moments with God. You will want to put down the book and soak in His love. There are chapters that will make you think about what is going on in the world around you. It is both uplifing and thought provoking.
