The QuakersCarole Burrows, via The Good Book Stall
I have been very impressed by Oxford's "Very Short Introductions" series as a means to discovering the important essentials of a subject without having to go into massive detail in this age of information overload. This title continues the standard with sufficient detail on the history, theology, belief and modern context of Quakerism to give a reasonable understanding of a movement which is a mystery to many. I had not realised, for example, how many leading American politicians were Quakers. Pink Dandelion is not a printing error - the author is a leading Quaker expert and writer.
