Standing together as the body of Christ and expressing worship to God in spirit and truth is a significant feature at Spring Harvest and the latest release 'ONE FOR ALL' is a wonderful illustration of this, capturing the moments and melodies of worship as people declare and discover love, faith and unity.
Timeless words taken from the Lord's Prayer and set to fresh music provide an impressive album opener from Nick Herbert and Worship Central. As well as proclaiming the greatest prayer of all time, the chorus of 'Pray' offers immediate appeal, and as worship and prayer merge, life is generated. Further along the tracklist, 'One Family', written and led by Pete James, bounces with a bright pop sensibility whilst rallying everyone around the world, whether young or old, rich or poor, to recognise and celebrate being part of one family.
Many of the songs weave together powerful Christ-centric truths and dedications to the majesty and mission of Jesus. The very popular 'What A Beautiful Name', superbly led by Cathy Burton, is a perfect candidate. So too is 'He Lives' and the anthemic 'Hope & Glory', both fronted by Luke Hellebronth, and the joyful 'This Changes Everything', a new song from Lou Fellingham, which buoyantly declares 'Jesus Is Alive'. The inclusion of 'Great Is Thy Faithfulness' and 'How Deep The Father's Love' adds depth to an already enriching album.
One For All: Live Worship From Spring Harvest transports you into inspirational moments and melodies of worship as thousands join together declaring and discovering love, faith and unity.

One For All: Live Worship From Spring HarvestCross Rhythms
Sue Rinaldi has made major contributions to the development of modern worship. Her work with NGM's Heartbeat is fondly remembered and her solo rendition of "So Freely" is a classic as far as I am concerned. But it's one of Sue's unheralded activities - selecting the songs that are sung at the annual Spring Harvest celebrations - which gained my admiration as I played through this, the latest in the long run of live Spring Harvest albums. Sue's choice of songs is nothing short of brilliant. The blend on 'One For All' of wonderful new anthems like "Pray" and "Mercy Road" (studio versions of which are on the fine new Worship Central album) offset against hymns new ("Hope And Glory", written by Tim Hughes, Martin Smith and Nick Herbert and Stuart Townend's "How Deep The Father's Love For Us") and old ("Great Is Thy Faithfulness" - surely one of the most over-recorded Christian songs of the last hundred years which amazingly comes out sounding fresh here thanks to a fine Lou Fellingham vocal and a powerful modern arrangement). Overall this is a project crying out to be played in car, laptop or home stereo. My favourites at the moment are Lou Fellingham's rendition of her own "This Changes Everything"; Luke Hellebronth doing a great version of "He Lives" penned by Ben Cantelon, Chris Tomlin, Nick Herbert and Reuben Morgan and two spine-tingling renditions of classic new songs - Brooke Fraser's "What A Beautiful Name" and John Mark McMillan's "King Of My Heart"- sung by Cathy Burton, surely the best singer in UK modern worship. Production/engineering by Paul Burton, including some deft studio overdubs, is excellent with the worshipful atmosphere of the big top crowd captured without dominating. I think I've heard every Spring Harvest live worship album since the first in 1982 and that's a lot of albums. This, I believe, is the best.
