Enthralling
An incredibly enthralling read. I am admittedly a slow steady reader; I tend to take a few weeks usually when reading a book I am truly enjoying. With this book, however, I was immediately drawn in and just couldn’t put it down. I was trying to read as much of it as I could whenever I could (even during work), and had read it in 3 days. The honesty and openness with which Haydn recounts his life is truly moving and really makes you realise the immenseness of the events and how they affected and shaped him. This combined with the excellent manner in which the book is written; direct and simple without any unnecessary “filler”, makes for an intimate and involving read. Haydn also wonderfully conveys the Grace and Mercy of the Lord Jesus and how much it has meant to him. A truly amazing read, not only for sports enthusiast but anyone looking for an inspirational and meaningful true story.
