Find Out MoreMeeting God in Mark by Rowan Williams was published by SPCK Publishing in September 2014 and is our 14235th best seller. The ISBN for Meeting God in Mark is 9780281072507.
A fantastic little book that provides a brilliant introduction and overview to Marks Gospel in an intelligent, insightful and well articulated way, with an easy blend of academic insight with modern context as perhaps would be expected from this author and a book that started life as a series of lenten talks at Canterbury Cathedral.
One thing that needs to be made clear is that though this started life as lent material this is not just a book for lent. Yes, the addition of Group Discussion questions and a Lenten Reading Guide do make it eminently suitable for use at Lent, however it is instead just a very good introduction to Marks gospel that really could be used by any number of people, in any number of situations and at any time of the year.
To restrict it to only lent or a group setting would be a shame as it is a great book and very easy and enjoyable to read.
