One question.
How does the Church help people who struggle?
The answer to that question has led Trevor Partridge on a personal journey to looking at how, and why, the Church can care for people in need. How they can best share the love of God. It's on this journey that he rediscovered the ministry of Paraclesis which is inspired by the Greek word Paraklesis which means one who comes alongside.
He wants the Church to learn to come together, side by side, to have an impact for God. To that end he has even written a six-week guide for how Churches can apply this mode of creating a culture of caring.
Love With Skin On is a way of embodying God's love which comes down to us, and radiating it outwards. Becoming a living example of God's love in another's life.
Trevor's new book is "A vital read for all those concerned with how best the church can care for others, and ultimately impact and care for those in the wider community."
If you want to change your community for the better then learn how to join with other and be a church to your community.
So to answer the question 'How does the Church help people who struggle?'
Together is how.
Side by side.
As one.
