A truly excellent CD
"Leaving Safe Anchorage" is a fantastic debut album from the Harbour Lights. Everything about the CD is spot on, the music, the vocals and the CD artwork. 10 songs, all fantastic, none of the usual 'album fillers' here! I can't put it down and can't stop singing the tunes.
I'm on a mission for this album!
10 songs, all beautifully crafted and executed, the album is an audio-pleasure from start to finish, no skippable tracks on this one! I was shocked to hear how young the singer is and was amazed at such a beautiful voice. The band is fantastic, playing with such emotion and sensitivity. Here is something special. Buy the album, you won't be disappointed!
A wonderful album with tremendous vocals
The style of this album reminds me of Sarah McLachlan, but I'd say that the vocals have greater depth and the songs are fresh and original. It's beautiful, gentle, moving and creates a space within which you can meditate or rejoice. Buy it and enjoy!
Brilliant CD
This CD is absolutely brilliant. I am not a religous person but I just love the music. I bought it because I know the drummer, Chris Pearson but I didn't expect to be bowled over by the music. I have been playing this CD a lot for a year now and am still not bored of it. Bethan Court's voice is superb, as is the musical ability of the rest of the band members. Why this doesn't get played on the radio, is beyond me!
