Learning To Walk In The DarkMelanie Carroll, via The Good Book Stall
'learning to walk in the dark' is a finely written, insightful and beautiful contemplation and study on what it means to fear... the dark. It's also a beautifully considered look at working past this fear, or if not working past it, to at least come to understand it a little and see in that dark, that fear, the light that glimmers through it.
Of course The Dark we are talking about here is not just a real fear of the dark of night, or caves or other such real experiences although She uses these very real fears and experiences as fine examplars of the much deeper dark of our fears in general.
It is without a doubt a finely written book that is easy to read and deals superbly with the trials and fears of life, and the ability to move through them and come out safely into the light at the end of them.
