This is amoving and deeply religious film - Alexandra, a 13 year old pupil form Ilford in Essex
It touched me so much of how Corrie ten Bomm is able to keep faithful throughout the roughest of times in her life, while she is tortured, beaten and bereaved! It just reminds me how God is there through thick and thin and that we all go through rough times, but Jesus was beaten and crucified for us was he not? We have to repay him sometimes. The feelings that Corrie and her family showed for the Jews during the 2nd world war is really moving, though she knew it was a dangerous idea from the start, hiding the Jews in their own home, she still remembered to, 'Answer the door to anyone whon knocks'. It was a deeply religious film and advise any Christian who wants to strengthen their faith in God to watch it.
The Ultimate Sacrifice - Teacher, Essex.
The Ten Booms were an unremarkable family who were best known for their watch shop. When the Nazis invaded Holland they believed that their faith would not allow them to sit back and watch their Jewish brothers and sisters carried off and murdered. Ultimately they were arrested for hiding many Jews. Corrie lost her father, sister, brother and nephew to the Nazis and although she questioned God at times, Corrie's faith carried an ordinary middle aged woman through Hell itself. I have used this film in school for many years and have seen it dozens of times. The story of Betsie and Corrie never fails to move and challenge me. As Betsie said, There is no pit so deep, that God is not deeper still.
