Full Product Description
This book takes a keen interest in how Daniel learns and adapts, and especially in what he has to otter us as a managerial role model. Most interestingly, he handles his faith and work in a consistent way. And so he can move seamlessly from a secular career before the most powerful man in the world to become a visionary prophet and, eventually, to pray one of the most extraordinary intercessory prayers in the Bible.
Just as Daniel manages to unify his faith and job in a single life, and just as we receive the story and the visions in a single book, Going Global approaches Daniel's life and ministry as a single piece. It is a fascinating piece from an international administrator about events that stretch way into the future and extend to borders far, far away.
Going Global by T Young was published by Paternoster Press in January 2010 and is our 64190th best seller. The ISBN for Going Global is 9780900128363.

Going GlobalJackie Rowe, via The Good Book Stall
Terry Young's approach to the book of Daniel is different. He does not attempt to focus on the narrative stories - the lions' den, the fiery furnace and the others that we tend to tell to children, nor does he approach the visions and prophecies in the second half of the book as a separate topic. Rather, he takes an integrated and very practical approach to Daniel's life and looks at it as a single piece. He sees Daniel as an excellent example of someone who walks close to God and pursues a secular career. The result is a wide-ranging book with many practical lessons for daily living. If you are looking for a managerial role model you will find it here. If you want to understand Daniel's prayer life too, this book will help you do that. And at the end of each chapter there are useful and down-to-earth questions and suggestions to help you think things through. I can thoroughly recommend this book.
