Encouraging and enlightening - Tamsin, Dancer, Herts
The first part of this book deconstructs the history, theory and contradictions of Feminism. This was really interesting and helped me to much better understand our society's perception of women. Sharon James continues to positively accepts and celebrates the difference between men and women. The Biblical model for the role of Women is clearly set out into different sections. e.g. As Mothers, As Singles, In Church, etc. James clearly explains how men and women complement each other through our roles, and that we are equals derspite our roles being difefrent. I found this very affirming. 'God's Design for Women' is clearly based in scripture, and James regularly refers to scripture to back up her points. It is very lovingly written, revealing to us how we can be godly women. Excellent discussion points are included. This is a very affirming and clear book which will help us to continue being sanctified for Jesus.
