How these not exactly young-timers keep up their energy and passion is a mystery, but somehow they keep on doing it and will until they drop. Sadly a good number of the artists on ‘Homecoming Celebration’ are no longer singing this side of Heaven, which is what makes this DVD such a historically significant gospel-revival moment. For real Gaither fans, this DVD is a must-have memorial to all that’s great in gospel revival music. For the average English viewer, there might be more of the better known hymns and songs like those on The Gaither’s ‘The Old Rugged Cross’ and ‘Homecoming Tent Revival’ DVDs. That said, the astounding performance of Jesse Dixon expending so much physical and spiritual energy in the sheer joy of performing for the delight of the packed audience, and the God went to meet in 2011, is worth the buy.
