Finding the Way Through John

This edition incorporates the text of the Revised English Bible. A short guide to John's Gospel, the book concentrates on the main themes of the gospel as they are expressed in stories, dialogues and speeches, and attempts to explain how to read the gospel as a book about faith in Jesus.
Like its companion on Mark, this primarily intended for the reader who has no previous knowledge of biblical criticism. Jesus in John's Gospel is portrayed very differently from the other three gospels - union with him brings salvation and eternal life. This is a mystical gospel, relating to life in the present rather than a future kingdom.
