Lent is traditionally a time of fasting. All too easily we can see fasting in negative terms – of things given up. Alongside what we give up, we should consider what we should increase. It is part of the Lenten preparation that there is both repentance and confession, but also renewal and commitment.

This set of daily Lenten meditations suggests both things to give up and things to take on, whether as part of a daily time of personal reflection and prayer, or as part of a Lent study group.
