Discover Jesus is a twelve-session programme for adults centred on the four Gospels and designed to promote Bible reading skills. The course enables participants to grasp the 'big picture' of each Gospel so that they may appreciate how the Gospels complement each other and provide a richer portrait of Jesus Christ.


Discover Jesus reveals how the earliest known accounts of Jesus' life portray him as:

the Son of David who establishes the kingdom of God;
the Son of God who suffers to ransom others;
the Saviour of the world who seeks the lost;
the Lamb of God who brings eternal life through a new exodus.

The course may be used in a variety of ways and situations. Each of the twelve sessions consists of a presentation, lasting about 25 minutes. The presentations may be given formally or informally, to large or small groups, and if desired, may be illustrated using PowerPoint slides. Discussion questions are provided for each session. The course offers an opportunity to learn about the Gospels in a friendly and relaxed way.

The Leader's Manual provides the full text of each presentation. The text is annotated, enabling the course leader to see clearly what appears in the Study Guide. Included with the Leader's Manual is a CD containing PowerPoint slides that replicate the contents of the Study Guide.
