Disciple has been a hard rocking indie band for many years, but their best effort yet has surfaced with their label debut on INO Records. Produced by Travis Wyrick (Pillar), the self-titled CD cranks up monster riffs and passionate vocals in a package that's more melodic than their earlier projects. This CD contains plenty of great music to keep you listening again and again. Bible verses are listed with each song to help you understand frontman Kevin Young's motivations for writing the lyrics. Guitarist Brad Noah (no relation to Pillar's Noah Henson) teamed up with drummer Tim Barrett and newcomer Joey Fife (bass) to write the music. The similarities to Pillar are unmistakable, but Disciple isn't merely a Pillar clone. Rather, Travis Wyrick has brought out the best of the band to create a truly enjoyable rocking CD with some great driving music and inspirational lyrics. INO's SRE imprint has another winner for music fans.
