Designed for Living

'Designed for Living' is the highly acclaimed course for women which CWR has developed and honed from Selwyn Hughes' initial 'Christ Empowered Living' course. As this course develops further it is now entitled 'Designed for Living'. For the first time CWR presents this stand-alone workbook by course leaders Jeannette Barwick and Helena Wilkinson enabling groups to benefit from the teaching and wisdom within a more intimate setting.

Looking at how God originally created men and women in His image, the 8 Bible-based sessions take participants stage by stage through a process. This involves exposing wrong beliefs, thought processes and behaviours to being restored into the divine image and empowered to live to their full potential as children of God.

Jeannette Barwick, founder of Waverley’s Ministry to Women, has long been committed to helping women apply biblical principles to their lives and relationships. Now a successful author and seminar speaker Jeanette remains a passionate advocate for applying CWR’s biblical model to everyday life.

Trained as a counsellor Helena Wilkinson has worked for CWR as a tutor and counsellor. Helena is the author of many books including the bestseller Puppet on a String which is her personal account of overcoming anorexia. Helena is a regular writer for Inspiring Women Every Day and the Waverley Abbey Insight Series. She was the Founder and Director of Kainos Trust, a charity for eating disorder sufferers which merged with Nicholaston House in South Wales from which she runs courses.
