Hillsong
Hillsong Church was founded by Brian and Bobbie Houston in 1983 in Sydney, Australia. Today, over 20 000 people attend the services held in Australia each week, with congregations stretching across a number of major cities around the world. Music has been a central part of Hillsong's ministry, with many successful albums and prominent worship leaders coming from the church. The worship group is collectively called 'Hillsong United' and involves a large number of musicians, they have released 40 albums since 1992, with many hitting Gold or Platinum. The genre tends to vary a lot, as a number of instruments are used, but much of Hillsong United's songs might be termed anthemic. Definitely worth and listen, and perhaps, a sing-a-long!
