Christ and Culture Revisited
Full Product Description
By exploring Richard Niebuhrís classical typology, Carson, takes Niebuhrís five ways of understanding culture and suggests that they are part of a larger vision. By using the bible own storyline and biblical theology he attempts to work out what this larger vision is. Although he finds Niebuhrís strategy useful as well as others like it, he warns against giving them canonical forces.
This book looks both at the theoretical and the practical, offering ways in which a Christian can untangle current debates about living in the world. The relationship between Christ and culture is not either/or culture paradigm. Carson offers his own paradigm where biblical theology is kept in mind to inform the Christian world view.
