Pure Flix presents The Book of Ruth, a triumphant love story in the face of adversity.
The Book of Ruth is a film about the selfless journey of love and devotion as seen through the eyes of a young widow. Choosing to leave her homeland of Moab, Ruth follows her mother-in-law Naomi to Israel after the death of her husband. Upon reaching Bethlehem, she meets and weds a man named Boaz, who is of Royal lineage to the House of Judah. This chain of seemingly unrelated events, sets the stage for the future kings of the nation of Israel, and the glorious coming of the Messiah.
A Biblical Cinderella story from the archives of the royal Jewish bloodline, The Book of Ruth reveals the redemption of their inheritance through the child Obed, who was the grandfather of King David. Pure Flix have created a film that is both entertaining, spiritual and educational and is a great DVD to watch with the family, with English subtitles.

Customer Reviews
Disappointed - Veronica, enjoy books and films, in Harlow
Very disappointed, it looked as if it was filmed in a backyard and characters (ladies) wearing too much make up!for time period. I fell asleep half way through.
