“I have recently focused on the theme of Heaven, in particular depicting scenes of people in celebration, reaching out to heaven amidst a sea of heavenly light. In many of these paintings the figures have been symbolically lifted up as they embrace God’s freeing power.
Essentially they seek to express the sense of freedom and liberation that comes from knowing God. There is also a musical aspect drawing on some of the celebratory imagery in the Psalms, such as Psalm 108 and 147”
