The Alex Diaries
Alex kept a diary of his time in Nepal, and how his Christian faith supported him during this time. His parents, Wendy and Ian, have now turned this personal diary into a book. "The Alex Diaries" is partly to keep his memory alive, and also to support the Alexander Ewart Memorial Fund for Nepal, which is dedicated to supporting the development of educational facilities there.
The book is a remarkable and poignant record of a young man’s thoughts whilst away from home, and the way he explored his Christian faith. In a strange way, you almost get the feeling that he was aware that his life could be cut short, and that there was therefore a need for his thoughts to be preserved. Not only will Alex’s life be celebrated by the words in his diary, but the proceeds of its sale will also contribute in helping to construct the school buildings so much needed in Nepal.
