A Handbook for Churchwardens and Parochial Church Councillors
Full Product Description
This new edition has been fully revised to take into account several new developments, including: changes in ecclesiastical law including, the revision of the Pastoral Measure 1983, the Dioceses' Pastoral and Mission Measure 2008, the new power to make Bishop's Mission Orders, and the introduction of Clergy Terms of Service; The Legal Advisory Commission's recommendations on PCCs powers and duties; and, health and safety issues. Flowcharts and checklists add to the usefulness of this volume, as do photocopiable legal forms and notices for practical purposes in parishes.
Suitable for newly elected and existing churchwardens, this title is useful for those who wish to tread a clear path through the sometimes complex legislation and know the rules and extent of their responsibility as elected Church officers. It also includes checklists, photocopiable legal forms, and notices for practical purposes in parishes.

Handbook for Churchwardens and Parochial Church CouncillorsMary Bartholomew, via The Good Book Stall
The latest in a long list of updates and new editions, starting in 1921.
This is a detailed and clearly set out feast of information for, as the title says, Churchwardens and PCC members, but also very useful for other members of the congregation to find out what should be happening and when. Essential reading for prospective holders of office as well as those holding office, and for all incumbents.
Not a book to be read through as a novel, rather one to be used as a continual reference book, but fascinating to browse through as seemingly every eventuality is covered
