On Fire - Definately
I had not heard of Switchfoot untill a friend recommended them to me and being open minded about music I decided to give it a listen and I listened to the first track 'Meant to Live' and thought 'this is a great song'. But I did have some bad experiences with albums before where I listen to the first track and like it and the the rest of the album turns out to be awful. Not so with 'The Beautiful Letdown', their re-recorded version of 'Dare You to Move' is probably the best song on the album, Then there is a definate mixture of song styles here like upbeat rock with 'Adding to the Noise' and 'Ammunition' to more ballad type songs like 'On Fire and 'Twenty-Four'. In short a great album, but if what you are looking for are blatant worship songs then you wont find them here what you will find instead are songs that are well thought out and meaningful, that deliver the message but subtly - In short an absolutely brilliant album if this is your type of music you will not be dissapointed
