Using feminist theology as a tool to expose the male-centred bias of classical theology, Ruether articulates a faith which incorporates both genders in their totality, and which embraces a full humanity. Whereas the traditional paradigm begets domination and subordination, Ruether's feminism seeks a mutuality which allows for variety and particularly in women and men.
