About This 2 CDs

To celebrate 10 years of The Mandate, Kingsway Music release this special edition 2 CD set O Church Arise – The Mandate 10 Years. CD 1 features 12 new live recordings from this year’s event. In the company of over 2,000 men, worship leader Stuart Townend and team (The Stoneleigh Band/Phatfish) skilfully run with the baton handed on to them by native Irishman Robin Mark.

O Church Arise kicks off with the Stuart Townend /Keith Getty penned, You’re The Word Of God The Father. Throughout this recording the writing partnership of worship leader Townend and new Irishman Getty finds expression in modern hymns such as title track O God Arise with it’s battle cry and military backbeat, Speak O Lord, a gentle song of invitation, and the towering majesty of Oh To See The Dawn (The Power Of The Cross).

Elsewhere more familiar worship songs Wonderful So Wonderful (Beautiful One) (Tim Hughes), Jesus Christ (Once Again) (Matt Redman) and Be Lifted Up (Paul Oakley), dovetail effortlessly with classic hymns And Can It Be and To God Be The Glory. Two Stoneleigh Bible Week favourites The King Of Love and Rob and Dawn Critchley’s Lord I Come Before Your Throne Oh God (What A Faithful God) also receive a Mandate makeover.

CD 2 is something of a precious jewel; a special bonus disc to commemorate ten years of fantastic, live worship from The Mandate. “Mandate Hymns” takes 10 hymns from previous Mandate live recordings and assembles them on one unique package. Featuring worship leaders Robin Mark and Stuart Townend hymns such as Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah, Be Thou My Vision and I Will Sing The Wondrous Story form an amazing record of life changing worship from the event that seeks to encourage men to know God and “make Him known as they live with integrity in the Home, Church and Community.” This is The Mandate.
