Stewardship is the Christian financial support services charity, connecting people and resources to advance the Kingdom of God. We offer a highly effective and appreciated payroll bureau service to Christian churches and charities. The service has seen strong growth over the last five years and is currently being developed through investment in a new internet based software service which will increase internal efficiency and improve customer service.

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroll Administrator (the job title depends on the experience of the successful candidate) to take full responsibility for the effective day to day operation of this payroll bureau service and play a leading role in researching and implementing improvements.

You will need experience of payroll processes and procedures and be able to understand and interpret payroll reports. In addition you should be able to prepare reconciliations and have a strong eye for detail, in order to be able to identify, investigate and rectify anomalies. You should also desire to provide excellent customer service, be able to develop a rapport quickly with customers and resolve problems in an efficient and friendly manner.

(Although this is a permanent, full-time post, a temporary appointment of up to 6 months would also be considered.)
