| WAVES PROJECT 'A Force for Change' Weymouth Working in partnership with a number of local agencies, Waves has both street credibility with young people and an enviable reputation with professionals. The project offers an information and advice service for 14-25 year olds, together with a number of specialist services attached to this 'hub' including: a Housing Action Scheme; a Family Mediation Service; and an Advocacy Project for 'looked after' young people in Dorset. Additional services are provided by our partners from the Waves building. You will be required to work in our advice & information service where a commitment to good practice and high service standards is important. You will need experience of working with young people in crisis and have a good understanding of welfare benefits, housing and volunteer issues. Evidence of recent training in a related field is required, and flexibility with regards to working hours is essential. For an informal discussion about either of the above posts please contact Vanessa Harrison, Project Leader on (01305) 768768). Interview date: Sessional Workers: 9th February 2001. |
