2-Way Street

2-Way Street is a new project set up to develop services to young people under 18 who have run away, are on the streets and taking risks.

This post will assist the project's work with these young people at the weekend drop-in facility, as well as occasional weekdays and streetwork.

We would welcome applications from trainee social workers, youth workers or teachers or individuals looking to gain more experience of work with young people.

For this post you will need relevant experience of working with young people in a variety of settings as well as an understanding of the issues that affect young people who go missing. A commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and promoting the needs and rights of young people is essential, along with the skills to work in high-risk environments with a high threshold of confidentiality.
