| Job Title Eden.co.uk Operations Manager Main Purpose of Job To plan, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the Customer Service, Purchasing and Warehouse functions. Relationships a) Responsible to: The Managing Director b) Responsible for: Permanent office and warehouse staff, temporary warehouse staff. Warehouse stocks, supplies, and equipment. c) Liaison with: Sales & Marketing Manager Main Tasks of Job • Manage activities to meet customer requirements and continuously improve performance • Review external and internal operating environments – systems, procedures, technical developments, supply chain – in order to effectively improve the organization • Manage staff in such a way as to effect productive performance, relationships and team working • Define policies and procedures • Plan and provide training & coaching • Plan use of resources. • Develop measures and criteria to monitor & evaluate the overall effectiveness of the Customer Service, Purchasing and Warehouse functions. • Set key performance targets • Set and maintain service levels • Maintain health & safety standards Essential Skills & Qualities • Drive & Enthusiasm • Experience in motivating, influencing and managing teams. • Ability to act operationally, but think strategically. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Must be able to demonstrate and use initiative • Focus on results • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Commercial Awareness and ability to manage budgets • Ability to multi-task • Ability to take decisions • Good IT knowledge |
