About the UK Christian Handbook
What is the UK Christian Handbook?
For over 25 years the UK Christian Handbook has been the directory of Christian organisations and church headquarters. It has steadily grown over the years and now has nearly 6,000 addresses listed.
What is it used for?
- to make new contacts
- find a conference centre for a church weekend
- put a church member in touch with other Christians in the same profession
- contact a Christian counsellor
- find the local Christian bookshop
- to keep in touch - check the address, phone, fax or email of an organisation - look up where "Joe Bloggs" works
- networking - discover who does the same kind of ministry as your organisation - see who works in a particular locality
- to get information
- find out who is working with drug addicts
- investigate which missionary society works in a country that's in the news
Who uses it?
Senior church leaders
"Very much a must on many people's shelves" -
Rt Rev Michael Turnbull, Bishop of Durham
"I use the Handbook often, it is a brilliant resource and I am so grateful for its existence" - Angela Almond, Connexion

Who is listed?
Organisations are normally only listed if they:
- are Trinitarian, that is, they accept the historic formulary of the Godhead as the three eternal persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, in one unchanging Essence. A fuller statement is available on request
- offer a definitive Christian product, service or function, that is the nature of their output or work reflects their belief and could not be adequately performed without it
- do not operate or trade under their own individual name (musical artistes, evangelists and similar occupations apart), so that their listing represents an identifiable organisation, however small, rather than the work or interest of one or two persons
- work in a wide geographical area, that is they are serving the wider Body of Christ and not only one local church. Individual churches are usually only included if they are also the headquarters for their denomination in the UK.
- Specific ministries within organisations are only included separately upon payment of a fee.
