What if I don't have an MP3 player?Nov 25th, 2014 - Posted by Les Ellison about NIV Audio Bible on MP3 CD I Like This Subscribe Answered Product 4327 519 views
If I don't have an MP3 player is there any way I can listen to this voice only Bible reading on my home stereo or in the car?
Provided you have a pc or laptop with a CD reader/writer, which I'm guessing you have, you'll be able to listen to the recordings on your computer. You can also transfer the mp3 files from the CDs in this set to your computer. Using the standard software on your computer (such as Windows Media Player or Real player) you can convert them to audio files. You can then 'burn' them onto a blank recordable CD in a standard audio format so that they'll play on any CD player in your home or car.
The only problem is, while mp3 files are small enough to let you have the entire Bible on just 6 CDs, audio cd files are much bigger. So much bigger in fact that and it might take up to 60 audio CDs to contain the whole Bible. That's why the creators of the NIV Audio Bible chose to use the MP3 format.
