Hello,

I am interested in buying a study bible.

However, I am not clear whether to chose the ESV Study Bible (personal) or the ESV Global Study Bible. We are a mixed background, mixed faith family and I am looking for a comprehensive study bible.

I do already have a bible, so am also interested in the NIV Study Bible if that may suit our family better.

Does anyone know what is the difference?
Which bible is most helpful especially for historic references?
Are these bibles in conflict with my "Catholic" background?

Thank you for your answers.

Hi Caramel,
Here's a link to our own blog on the ESV Version Bible which can explain the translation with much more insight and eloquence than any attempt I could make. (https://www.eden.co.uk/help/?topic_id=138)
As a family Bible, I would give the ESV a thumbs up for its clarity and understandably written language.
Thank you for using the Q&A Forum.
