      Product Description

This book explores what Christians commonly refer to as the 'Last Days' - also known as the 'Latter Days', the 'End Times', the 'Final Days' or the 'Day of the Lord'. Some propose that the 'Last Days' will usher in the Final Judgment when the earth will be destroyed and everyone will go either to heaven or hell. Others propose that the 'Last Days' will usher in the Millennium Reign of the Messiah - a future 'golden age' of peace and prosperity. Still others propose that the 'Millennium Age' has already been and gone when Jesus was on earth, whilst others suggest that we are living in the 'Millennium Age' right now, with Jesus ruling from the heavenly Zion. These varieties of viewpoints arise because Scripture has to be interpreted, and nowhere more so than when we come to its prophecies concerning future events. But Scripture does indeed tell us that certain events are going to occur in the human narrative. So what is the correct perspective? It is important to remember that the Scriptures are Zion/Jerusalem/Promised Land centric. Christianity is properly called the Judeo-Christian religion, and Gentile Christians are described as being like a wild, uncultivated olive tree grafted in to the cultivated olive tree of the Jewish narrative. Jews, Jerusalem and Israel remain central to the gospel narrative and this is particularly so when it comes to the 'Last Days'. It is within this perspective that the 'last days' and the 'Day of the Lord' are penetratingly explored in this study.
