Such a case-based approach will end with a discussion of the greatest public health disaster in history-the 10 plagues of Egypt. But complete understanding cannot end there; we must ask ourselves why God would use such medical afflictions to further His story. What overarching messages are there in this evolutionary tale of medical woe as medically-imperfect humans strive for righteousness despite (or because of) their afflictions?
