The Parable of the Pencil

The Parable of the Pencil illuminates the principles related to the preservation of family history to strengthen the divine center in each of us. Thereby, our recognition of God's design increases. We are empowered to fulfill our destiny as spiritual beings having mortal experiences. The parable suggests that we need only to listen for, act upon, and record for our edification and that of our posterity, the sweet stirrings that are spiritual promptings.

"Adam spake, as he was moved upon by the Holy Ghost, and a genealogy was kept of the children of God. And this was the book of the generations of Adam." (Moses 6:8).
