Product Description
This book is an attempt of a contemporary version formatted for more transparency full congregational participation. Where traditionally cantors and choirs gave responses and sang the various hymns, the congregation is now invited to participate. All prayers are said aloud, so the faithful can fully comprehend the sequence and meaning of liturgy. Hence, there are no more silent prayers by the priest. Instead, the priest is invited to join in prayer with the congregation. Many prayers, repetitions and somewhat antiquated dialogues have been obliterated or shortened. Repetitive litanies have been simplified or deleted, such as the litany of the Catechumens, a hangover from times long passed.
