These are ‘prayers from the Iona Community’s founder interspersed with images of Iona.’ The introduction sets the scene of the man, and the situation in which these prayers were originally composed, and explains what the editor of this edition, Ron Ferguson, has set out to do. The words of these prayers speak to us as we read through, and become our own prayer. The images from Iona throughout the book hold our attention while we meditate on the words we have just read.
