A woman on the run.

Darcy Graham thinks she's on a much-needed vacation in remote Idaho to relax and study under a well-known watercolorist. But an earthquake before she even arrives at the ranch is her first clue that something is amiss. Then a cabin on the edge of town goes up in flames.

The area has a serial arsonist who sends taunting letters to the press after each fire. As a forensic linguist, this is Darby’s area of expertise . . . but also the reason she’s trying to escape from her life.
