Product Description
For a couple of generations, we have been preoccupied with enlarging our territory which may have been done at the expense of the core of our being - the soul. Consequently, our lives are lived with much frustration, emptiness, and discontent. An African proverb says it best - "A river that forgets its source will surely dry up."The dry soul is but one of several inferior spiritual conditions. Some of us have been sidetracked by the cares of the world. Some feel far from God. Others have been traumatized by unfortunate circumstances or events. Whether one's soul is dry, distracted, distant, discouraged, or damaged; it is God, the Creator of the soul, who restores the soul. Psalm 103 is the foundation for this book. As it emphasizes worship, it also encourages the reader to remember "benefits" that lend themselves to living from the inside out. Psalm 103 prescribes the tenets of forgiveness, healing, redemption, lovingkindness, tender mercies, and contentment as reasons to worship and fundamental keys to a healthy soul. They pave the road to spiritual renewal. Embracing these benefits is rudimentary to soul care - "So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's" [5].
