Seeing Jesus In The Old Testament: Teacher Edition

There are thousands of Old Testament references found in the New Testament. They occur in the form of quotations or paraphrases, allusions, and echoes. They help us see how the fabric of Scripture is woven into a tightly coherent body of themes.
After his resurrection, Jesus told his disciples "that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled" (Luke 24:44). This workbook attempts to explore these Old Testament pictures of the Messiah. Students must look beyond the immediate context of the Old Testament story and look at the larger context of Scripture. This larger view helps us better appreciate the person and work of Jesus Christ.
