We Review Let It Be Known

Anna Hockley

Worship Central's offering of fresh new songs to get the Church out of their seats and back into praising God.

Each year we eagerly await the latest offering of live worship from the Worship Central conference recorded last year at HTB Onslow Square, Central London. Two days of passionate worship featuring fresh songs from the likes of Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon, Nikki Fletcher and Al Gordon.

So with that in mind, here's a quick summary of the highs of Let it be Known. With a strong start 'Ready for You' is catchy and easy to picture being sung in churches up and down the country as well as at summer festivals. We then move into the rockier, upbeat tempo of 'God Most High' with great lyrics you'll want to sing at the top of your voice: 'You are the light, hope of the world / God most high'.

Another stand out song for me is the title track, 'Let it Be Known'. An infectious blend of synthy sounds and memorable lyrics, I picture kids and adults alike jumping up and down to it in a muddy field at Soul Survivor or The Big Church Day Out.

Though there are a couple of weaker tracks on the album, the stronger carry this album on to being a spirit-filled live worship collection of congregational hits in the making: just as Worship Central intended.
