Ah, a new school year. Fresh exercise books ready to be covered in wrapping paper, shiny school shoes and crisp new uniforms. Coupled with that, the days suddenly feel colder and shorter, and a certain coffee chain has started adding pumpkin spice to everything.
For children’s workers and church leaders, that means a certain event is just around the corner. All Hallows Eve or more commonly, Halloween.
For many Churches, this is a chance to seek the light at a time when many are celebrating darkness and trickery. Instead, Churches host light parties - a Christian alternative to Halloween, a great opportunity to reach out to your local community with the Good News.
We have collected together some ideas of tracts, treats and more to show the light of Jesus to children and their families this Halloween.

With a friendly and colourful design, this little booklet will help primary school children explore and respond to the words of Jesus .

We are currently in a strange situation. Bible sales are up, but the number of people reading the Bible is going down. Even stranger, this situation is nothing new. There has always been a difference between the number of people who own a Bible and the number of people who regularly read their Bibles.
