Romance Rises from the Ashes of the Civil War

All Things New is a historical page turner that sets out to impress with strong minded characters, family feuds and an unlikely romance.

The scene is set, the smoke is rising as the aftermath of the American Civil War takes its toll on Virginia, USA. Plantation owners the Weatherly family return to their ransacked home to find devastation and broken dreams. Yet as you will probably have guessed this is a romance novel at heart so don't despair that it's all getting a bit heavy as Josephine Weatherly takes on the role of head of the house and finds herself on the front line desperately trying to restore her family and life. Josephine stumbles upon an unlikely friendship with one of the 'enemies' who is helping the former slaves of the town to rebuild their lives in light of their new found freedom. The reader is left to watch this space as confrontations and upset ensues.

The writing style is engaging, atmospheric and will keep you turning the pages as you follow the lives of the Weatherly family, with intertwined plot lines and complicated family relationships.
